Pennsylvania owned Super 32. Florida was our surprise.

Pennsylvania won the title race and the depth argument, while Florida matched California in champions and earned some room to talk.

California can argue depth. Florida can argue titles. But neither has a winning argument against Pennsylvania at the 2026 Super 32 Challenge in Greensboro. Our verdict: Pennsylvania gets the bragging rights, and Florida gets to crash the debate.

Pennsylvania shuts down the argument

Pennsylvania finished with 6 champions, 17 top-three finishers and 42 placers. It led every category. Pick titles or pick depth, and the answer stays the same.

Melvin Miller won boys 165 for Pennsylvania. His title was part of a championship haul that stretched across the boys and girls brackets.

Marlee Solomon took girls 132 for Pennsylvania. This state's edge was bigger than any single champion, which is exactly why the argument against it falls short.

Florida earns the noise. California keeps the edge.

Florida is our surprise choice: 3 champions from 12 placers, with 4 top-three finishers. Matching California's title count gives Florida fans a fair reason to talk. Winning brackets carries weight.

Lucas Boe delivered Florida's boys 175 championship. His win helped put Florida level with California in the category fans can most easily point to: champions.

California still gets our nod over Florida overall. Its 3 champions came with 13 top-three finishers and 30 placers. A tie in titles does not erase that much separation across the podium.

Iowa and New Jersey each finished with 2 champions. Iowa added 4 top-three finishers and 11 placers; New Jersey had 3 and 8. Both won titles, but neither matched Pennsylvania or California across these categories.

Arizona deserves a say in the depth argument, too. Its 1 champion came alongside 5 top-three finishers and 14 placers, ahead of Florida, Iowa and New Jersey in both supporting categories. We still give Florida's extra titles the edge.

Pennsylvania owned the tournament. California was the closest overall challenger. Florida supplied our favorite argument.
